100 things

1. I have 2 polydactyl cats, named Mortimer (by me) and George (by the SPCA).
   
2. I have a boyfriend of 3 and a half years that I love immensely.
   
3. My favourite colour is blue.
   
4. Green and yellow are close seconds. I like pink too.
   
5. Romeo & Juliet (1995) is in my top 3 favourite movies.
   
6. Leonardo DiCaprio is one of my very least favourite actors.
   
7. I want desperately a job, a home that isn't in somebody's basement, a dog, and babies. Probably in that order.
   
8. I'm cheating and taking more than one sitting to write this because I can't think of 100 things about myself all at once.
   
9. I always notice continuity issues in movies, like when the glass is full, then empty, then full.
   
10. I hate when movies end with a 'line', or when they say the title 26 times.
    
11. For that reason, "You Can Count on Me" is one of the best movies ever.
    
12. I have an aquarium that I love but don't take care of as much as I should.
    
13. I have very long toes.
    
14. I now know how to make a numbered list. It's not hard.
    
15. I have a lot of gadgets. I have my Dad to blame for that, he likes gadgets too, and feeds my habit.
    
16. My favourite flavours are chocolate, peanut butter, caramel, and cinnamon.
    
17. President's Choice is my favourite brand for most food, and banking.  
18. I buy books compulsively from the "bargain books" section at Chapters, and have whacks that I haven't read, but still buy more.
19. I have a lot of cookbooks, that I really like.  My favourites are the Jamie Oliver Naked Chef ones.  He's damn cute.
20. I pick up earthworms and put them back on the grass when it's raining so they don't get squished.
21. I have no idea why I care what happens to earthworms.
22. I'm a miserable plant-keeper, but I'm getting better.
23. Right now I'm growing beans, tomatoes, peppers, and watermelon.  The beans are the only things sprouting flowers.
24. I'm very analytical for an artsy person; I need to know how and why things are the way they are and work the way they work.
25. I love taking pictures.
26. In situations with a lot of people, I'm very happy just watching people do the things they do.
27. My favourite ice cream flavour right now is Ben & Jerry's Half Baked.
28. I have been writing poetry since I was very little, and still do.  I think I'm pretty good.
29. I have 2 ideas for children's books that I think are really good, but don't know what to do after I get them written.
30. I want a really big dog.  or several.
31. I have a talking Rex toy from Toy Story on my desk, that amuses me immensely. 
32. The first stop-action movie I made was with said toy.  It was great.
33. My favourite books are funny, and usually by British authors.
34. I love to sing, and I've been told I'm pretty good by friends and a skeevy guy in a tank top at a karaoke bar.
35. I put too much seasoning on my popcorn at the movies.
36. I really like cartoon movies.  Lilo & Stitch was hilarious.  Tricky fish!
37. I have the complete Shel Silverstein collection in hardcover.
38. I also have a substantial Roald Dahl collection.  That guy was a genius.
39. I have a tendency to keep things way too long when I borrow them.
40. I wear a toe ring on the 2nd toe of my left foot.
41. My ears are pierced, the left one twice, and so is my bellybutton.
42. I much prefer the tops of muffins to the bottoms.
43. I like sleeping against the wall.
44. I can't help but notice grammatical and spelling errors on signs and publications.  It pisses me off that there are so many.
45. My printer doesn't work properly, and it never has, and I regret not bringing it back right away.
46. I really hate most music that's on the radio right now.  Not all, but most.
47. My favourite melon is honeydew.
48. I've never had a nickname, despite my efforts to come up with one.
49. I have seriously considered that there should be some kind of licensing system for people to have children.
50. I think that animal cruelty laws are a joke and need to be much, much stricter.
51. I judge books by their cover.  How else do you judge them?
52. I like Coke better than Pepsi, because their ads are so much better and more creative.
53. My first kiss was one of the grossest things ever.
54. I have a strong dislike for horror movies, but I go see them every now and then anyway, for some reason.
55. I get along well with my sister.  It only took about 20 years.
56. I've never been off the continent, but I very much want to go.
57. I wish I had an accent, or a friend with one that I could listen to.
58. I like the colour of my hair in the summer.  It's really dull in the winter.
59. My eyes are hazel, but I have a blue spot in the right one.
60. Everyone else in my family has blue or green eyes.
61. I used to think I was adopted because of that, and my curly hair.  My dad's hair is curly when it's longer though.
62. I look just like my parents though, so it's pretty silly to think I was adopted.

65. I hate Trivial Pursuit because I don't know the answers most of the time.
66. I talk to my cats.
67. They don't talk back to me, so I figure I'm ok.
68. I like moderately spicy food, but not really spicy food.
69. I've written some pretty weird short stories.
70. Most of what I write is based somehow on life experience, sometimes just a line, sometimes the base of the story.
71. Since a particular incident in 2nd year, I haven't been able to drink beer.
72. I love girly slushy drinks like daquiris and pina coladas.
73. I like soft cheeses like mozza, everyone else in my family likes 100-year old cheddar.
74. I would sooner break up with someone that cheat on them.
75. I really like the idea of putting all this stuff out there for whoever wants to read it.
76. I spend money when I shouldn't.
77. I get serious road rage sometimes, but I never do anything about it.
78. I like to drive about 20 over the speed limit on the highway.
79. I've never gotten a ticket.
80. I'd rather have a few close friends than a lot of friends I'm not that close to.
81. I love my family very much.
82. I still hold hands with my mom in the mall sometimes.
83. I saw Celine Dion in concert when I was in high school.
84. It was really good, but I don't know that I'd want to go again.
85. I wonder what people think when they look at me.
86. Even though I know I look basically the same every day, sometimes I feel beautiful and sometimes I don't want to leave the house.
87. I stole Pez once.  I didn't even have a dispenser, I just ate the candy.
88. If I could have a super power, I'd be able to fly.
89. I think yellow cars are stupid looking 98% of the time.
90. I really love getting presents.
91. I love watching people open presents I got them too.

93. I still hold a legitimate hope that I'll win the lottery someday.
94. I was a cheerleader in junior high.
95. When I first got a car with manual transmission, I got other people to drive me around because I was too nervous to drive myself.
96. I'd take a hot chocolate or a mocha over a coffee any day.
97. I have 2 tattoos.
98. I would be hard pressed to choose between cable TV and internet, but I think internet would win.
99. Jonathan was my favourite New Kid, and I saw them in concert when I was 12.
100. I still like Backstreet Boys better than 'N Sync.
101. I have 8 small scars on my abdomen from where I had my gallbladder and appendix removed.
